Attractions on the 76 Strip

Branson is growing by leaps and bounds in 2016. The booming tourist mecca is getting several new adventure attractions in and around the famous 76 Strip.

In 2016, Branson gets its very first true “VIP Sightseeing Tour Company.” VIP Tours of Branson treats you like a VIP starting with your conveyance. Riders will be treated to a guided tour experience in our brand new Mercedes Benz Sprinter upfitted with custom bucket seats, multi media capabilities and a European style portal door entrance. Your local guide will provide you with the history and stories of Branson, MO, the family friendliest tourist meccas in the midwest. Depending on which tour you choose, you’ll see and hear the history of Branson show biz, the views from 230 foot high Inspiration Tower, experience Table Rock Dam, the location of some of America’s best shopping, local wineries, distilleries, eateries, even a backstage tour at Dick Clark’s American Bandstand theater, where you’’ll meet one of their performing legends.

Fritz’s Adventure is a family attraction that includes outdoor adventure challenges in a multi-dimensional indoor environment. Over 80,000 square feet in a 3 story experience that exposes you to activities that anywhere else, might be discouraged, or even prohibited. It’s for all ages making it an awesome family adventure. Being built now, it is scheduled to open in 2016.

Being erected on the 76 Strip right now is the iconic Navy Pier Ferris Wheel, a 15 story high ferris wheel with has stood on Chicago’s Navy Pier for decades. A slow ride up and around giving you and your family a bird’s eye view of the Branson’s world famous 76 Country Music Boulevard.

And don’t miss Bigfoot on the Strip. A $10 million attraction all located on Hwy 76. With two rides for thrill seekers, this stop is not for the faint of heart. One ride features a 200 foot free fall with a gravity agent braking system; and the second is a “Saddle Swing” which propels one, or two, riders into the sky, end over end, and then back to the ground. Oh, and there will also be a “Food Truck” area so you can recharge your tank and do it all over again.

And finally, Mountain Adventure Resort Park is building a new adventure park which is scheduled to open in the Summer of 2016. Located on Hwy 165, on the outskirts of town, the project will feature a “Zip Coaster” with a projected 400 foot change in elevation, zip lines, rope courses and thing called a “mountain coaster!”

Show business is getting a face lift for 2016 too, but I’ll cover that next time in “Bob’s Branson Blog.”

See you B-town!
